Two enterprising young boys from South Woodham Ferrers have set up their own pet-sitting business to save up for a PS4 – hats off to them!
Harrison Sheehy, 11, and his seven-year-old brother Jaspyr were told by their mum Zoe that they would have to earn the money themselves, and with the summer holidays approaching it was the idea time to put their top money-making idea into action – a pet-sitting business.
By only concentrating on very small animals, they were able to get themselves set up at home and take care of the local area’s furry princes and princesses while their owners went off on holiday.
No more asking Auntie Margaret to pop in and feed Neville the gerbil with Harrison and Jaspyr around.
After using the power of Facebook to drum up some business, we are delighted to say that they saved up enough to buy the games console, and it will be all the more sweet to play on something that they have well and truly earned.
Mum Zoe added: They actually started last year when my son said he wanted a PS4 so I told him to work for it!
They both love animals, and so I suggested pet sitting. We put a post on Facebook and that was that.
The animals come to our house and are cared for, fed, played with and so on.
Animals like cats we look after in the owner’s house, and so we just pop in 2 or 3 times a day for food and cuddles.
We’ve had all animals ranging from guinea pigs and rabbits to a bearded dragon and a pygmy hedgehog.
They already have animals booked in for October half-term and for holidays next year!
People need to remember that this was how Lord Sugar got started!
Nothing fancy, just identifying something that you are good at, finding people who need it, and getting stuck in.
