Southend-based singer Matt Linnen has made it through to the next round of X-Factor after impressing the ITV judges on Saturday evening’s show.
You can watch his audition below in footage that has been released by ITV, and we can confirm that he received a resounding four yeses after this momentous performance.
The 28-year-old plasterer is now being hotly-tipped to go far in the competition, and if his rendition of Ray LaMontagne’s Trouble is anything to go by he is going to take a lot of beating.
Whatever the outcome is for Matt, he is putting Southend on the musical map.
Talking to the judges, he said: “I’ve been involved with music and with various bands I’ve been in, I feel like now is the time to come on the show and show you guys what I got.”
